In the first of many upcoming improvements to the Value Calculator feature in Valkre, a new dashboard user experience is available. The new Value Calculator Dashboard is available in all area of Valkre where Customer Value Quantification is available such as building value propositions, customizing value propositions for prospects or estimating expected value for a Customer Initiative. In addition, this view is available in salesforce.com interfaces. Below is an example of the new Dashboard:
Most notably the changes made are:
- The Customer Value, ROI, and Payback Metrics are all available under one tab now such that it is easier to see the complete picture.
- Similar to other Valkre Dashboards, you can click on the 'Label' of each section for more details. For example, clicking on Total Customer Value in the screen above will take you to the detail views that are currently used. From there, each view will have the functionality to view more details and make edits.
- In addition, the 'Print' functionality has been upgraded to reflect these changes in PPT or PDF form
Another aspect of the Dashboard to get to know is how to navigate between sections aside from clicking on it. By clicking on the 'Arrow' next to the DASHBOARD label, a quick navigation window appears. This keeps the screen clean to review but still retain the quick navigation functionality of a series of tabs.
Finally, this Dashboard also introduces a new level of customization for each Value Calculator you create by being able to change the labels of the metrics shown on the dashboard and/or simply hide metrics such as 'Payback' when it is not relevant / useful to show.
This configuration is done under the Dashboard Settings which you can navigate to using the dynamic tab navigation shown above. Once on Settings, you will see options to tweak labels and hide metrics as you see fit. You can always come back and turn 'Metrics' on at a later date.
As mentioned before, this Dashboard is start of many upgrades coming this year on the Value Calculators. Expect upgraded functionality and experiences on these metrics and the introduction of new metrics in the coming releases.
